Student Reflection Questions.
Every great story leaves us with questions.
The Invisible Score isn’t just about AI.
It’s about curiosity.
These questions aren’t a test. There are no perfect answers.
They’re simply an invitation to pause, reflect, discuss, and look at the world a little differently.
Warm up your curiosity.
Ask yourself:
What do you already know about AI?
Where do you think technology makes decisions every day?
Do you think computers can ever understand people completely?
Have you ever wondered why certain videos or advertisements appear just for you?
Follow Maya’s journey.
Think about Maya’s journey.
Which moment surprised you the most?
Which chapter made you stop and think?
If you were Maya, would you have made the same choices?
Which character did you relate to the most?
Did your opinion change as the story unfolded?
Now look beyond the book.
Can you identify invisible systems in your own life?
Think about
Ask yourself
Why did this recommendation appear?
What information might the system already know?
Could there have been another recommendation instead?
Technology is helpful. It can also be wrong.
Technology can be helpful.
Technology can also make mistakes.
Ask yourself
Should every AI decision have a human involved?
What information might be missing?
Could the system be biased?
Would you trust the result without asking questions?
You’re designing the next AI.
Imagine you’re designing the next generation of AI.
What would you build?
How would you make it fair?
How would you explain its decisions?
What rules would you never allow it to break?
For one day…
Every time technology recommends something…
Pause.
Ask:
By the end of the day you’ll probably notice far more invisible systems than you ever expected.
After finishing the book…
Write down one invisible system you’ve noticed that you never thought about before.
Then write one question you’d still like answered.
Curiosity doesn’t end when the story ends.
Sometimes that’s where it begins.
You don’t need to understand every algorithm.
You don’t need to become an AI expert.
The most important skill is learning to ask thoughtful questions.
That’s a skill that will always matter.
Technology will continue changing.
Curiosity is what helps us keep up.
The last page is only the beginning.
Curiosity doesn’t end when the story ends.
Stay Curious. Stay Human.
